Sea Harvest takes its environmental credentials and social licence to operate in Shark Bay and the Exmouth Gulf very seriously. Both fisheries have Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification as a sustainable fishery.
Western king prawns and brown tiger prawns are the major species caught in Shark Bay each year for loyal customers in Australia and overseas. In Exmouth, the main catch is Exmouth king, tiger and endeavour prawns.
Sea Harvest also catches a range of other seafood to enjoy, including scallops, blue swimmer crabs, squid and cuttlefish.
A fleet of prawn trawlers is set up to process, package, and snap freeze all the catch at sea, ensuring a high quality, consistent and sustainable seafood product.
Crews are highly trained to handle and process product to the exacting standards expected by consumers around the world.
