The Swan Valley estate’s renewal of its food and beverage operations in 2021, welcoming new teams and talent, included a total rebuild of Sandalford’s restaurant.
The huge Italian wood-fired pizza oven is a welcome addition to the renovated restaurant, which overlooks 182-year-old vine trunks and a new playground. Created from Western Australian timbers and centred around a large cubby house in the style of a wine barrel, the playground has been a huge hit with families — as have the delicious, crisp pizzas delivered straight from the oven.
Executive chef Alan Spagnolo oversees a revitalised kitchen that is now open daily for lunch, as well as for dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
Foodies won’t want to miss the Estate Culinary Journey, Alan’s epicurean masterpiece that includes five courses matched with Sandalford Wines for $150 per person. Sampling dishes from our seasonal menu, this curated feast changes regularly and patrons are encouraged to talk to their server about their preferences before the journey begins.
