In less than a decade, Urban Forager has grown from a fortnightly farmers’ market stall selling preserves to a market-leading Australian food manufacturer of premium organic certified organic stock concentrates, broths, jams and chutneys, now sold in more than 1600 stores nationwide.
The business expanded in 2019 with the introduction of Urban Forager’s sister brand, The Natural Stock Co., producing a range of conventional non-organic stock concentrates, which broadened their market reach, appealing to a more cost-conscious buyer.
While Urban Forager has grown, the family’s values have not wavered. They remain committed to ensuring the best for our health, community and environment, while delivering the tastiest produce.

These concentrates are made from 100 percent natural ingredients, including vegetables, herbs, meat, spices, vinegar, olive oil and salt. Each jar produces 6.5L of premium liquid – just add 1 tsp to 250ml of water – for less than $1.69 per litre. Once opened, they also keep for up to a year in the fridge. The range includes Natural Vegetable Stock Concentrate, Natural Chicken Stock Concentrate, Natural Beef Stock Concentrate and Natural Mushroom Stock Concentrate.

The preserves and chutneys are packed with organic fruit and vegetables to ensure they are as good for the environment as they taste. Think the intense flavour of Donnybrook plums lovingly turned into jam, or Carnarvon mangoes blended with complex spices to create a versatile chutney. The preserve and chutney range includes Blood Plum Jam, Pear & Vanilla Jam, Mango Chutney, Green Tomato Chutney, Nashi Pear & Cardamom Chutney and Peach & Pepper Jam.
